Project Management Fundamentals Course - 2 days

This two-day training course provides an excellent introduction into the project management method.  Filled with regular practical exercises to bring the learning material to life, the course introduces students to the application of real-world project management to both social and technology-based projects.

Participants learn how to manage projects in real-world environments that take into account the complex trade-offs involving project scope, schedule and cost. Other key learning areas cover how to develop an achieveable project plan, dealing with project risk, administering and monitoring project progress, finalising the project and reviewing the project to identify lessons learnt for application to future projects.  

The course is suitable for entry level project managers, project officers, project administrators, project support staff, project analysts, project assistants, project coordinators, estimators and schedulers,  quality officers and small business operator in a wide range of industries.

PRINCE2 Foundation Course - 3 days

This three-day training course provides participants with an excellent introduction into the PRINCE2 project management methodology through a series of practical activities. It also prepares candidates for the PRINCE2 Foundation Certification Examination.

Through a series of cleverly designed, practice-based learning activities, participants learn how to apply the PRINCE2 methodology to a variety of projects across social and technology domains.  The covers in concise detail they key elements of the PRINCE2 method covering project management principles, understanding risk, starting up a project, project governance, project definition, managing a project stage and project closure.

At the conclusion of the course, particpants can complete the PRINCE2 Foundation Exam. This is a one-hour closed book, multiple-choice exam. There are 75 questions (including 5 trial questions not counted in scores). Candidates must score 50% or more out of the available 70 marks to pass the exam. The exam is delivered by an APMG International accredited training organisation.
