Course Description

Course Description

It is specifically designed to introduce students to the real-world systems engineering issues likely to be encountered by staff working alongside a systems engineering team.

Participants learn about the key systems engineering design steps of operational analysis, requirements development, architecture design, functional analysis and synthesis.  To complement the introduction to system design, participants also learn about systems engineering project processes covering systems engineering management, verification & validation programs, configuration management and requirements management. This three-day training course provides a practical introduction to the systems engineering method and how it applies to high technology projects. Participants learn about the key systems engineering design steps of operational analysis, requirements development, architecture design, functional analysis and synthesis. At the conclusion of each technical design module, participants participate in an instructor lead demonstration and learn how the systems design process and system model are practically developed.
